Quick Prawn Curry

This is a tangy prawn curry with very few ingredients. Amma used to make this very often, it just brought my childhood memories. This can be made in under 30 mins if you have already cleaned and deveined the prawns. Me and mams got a chance to get some prawns from market this week, so made this curry and didnt forget to take a snap to share it with you all.

Ingredients:
Prawns - 500 gm
Tomato - 1 finely chopped
Onion - 1 big finely chopped
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Salt to taste

To temper:
Curry leaves - few
Mustard  & Cummin seeds and oil

Method:
Heat some oil in a pan and add curry leaves and mustard & cummin seeds and allow it to splutter.
Saute onion till it turns transparent. Then saute tomato till it turns mushy.
Once done add turmeric, salt and chilli powder, give a mix, close and cook for few mins till the raw smell goes.
Then add the cleaned prawns, give a quick stir and cook for 10 mins.
Garnish with coriander leaves if needed. Serve hot with plain rice and papadam. Enjoy :)

Notes:

Dont overcook the prawns as it changes its texture to rubber.
Make sure to clean the prawns well and devein it or it might lead to food poisoning.
